Millie! I love this post, and not just because it fits well with my post today. Thank you!
Thank you, Ann. I’m just about to go onto my Reader and try to do some serious catching up. I’ll be very interested to see your post now. You have me intrigued.
I like being intriguing!
I know! And you do it so well . . . 🙂
Thanks for discribing my daughter😬. Great word!!
I’m not sure whether to laugh at that or not! Does your daughter wear armour as well? Thanks for the great comment, Ahhsioux. 🙂
She has been an armored child since her Father, in whom he made her his Princess, dumped her andcrancto another State with a psychopath. (Heart armored) she was the sweetest child. I only hope and pray that that child will some day return.
You see, I AM on a healing visit here. I’m ready, it’s ok.
I, too, hope your daughter one day heals from all the hurt she suffered. You also seem to have had more that your fair share of unhappiness. Good to know you’re on the pathway to healing now.
Your WOW brought to mind one of its “cousins”: pugnacious…
Pugnacious is one of the word’s many synonyms, which I’ve listed on my post. I like that word, too, and have probably used it more ofetn than Bellicose. Thank you for your comment, Alexander. 🙂
It is a great word, and we have just rid ourselves of a bellicose politician in our state! But like you, I think pugnacious sounds better. Better visual imagery, of a hostile pug dog!!
I’m really pleased you’re going to do this challenge, Amanda. I’ve just noticed your first word and that you haven’t linked it to Heena’s post. She puts a new word up every Sunday and when we do our word we put a link to it in Heena’s comment section, just to say we’ve posted and so anyone can follow the link from her page. I hope that makes sense! Millie.
Something that has always fascinated me is the analogy among words in different languages. This word is quite similar in french (male: belliqueux) italian (male:bellicoso) and spanish (male: belicoso) !, In German? kriegerisch :P~ best wishes. Aquileana 😉
Hello, Aquileana. Thank you for that excellent comment about my word this week. You are evidently a scholar of languages as well as ancient Greece and Greek mythology! Best wishes to you, too. 🙂
Great word Millie! I can use it in quite a few posts! thanks for sharing and also for participating 🙂
Have a great day!
Thank you, heena, I’m glad you like it. I’ve decided to go through the alphabet with my words, if that’s OK with you. So I’ll be doing a ‘C’ word next week.
You’re welcome dear! And please don’t make me feel bad by asking! Just do whatever you want to with this meme to make it more fun! In fact I’ll also try and do it… It’ll make this meme more interesting! Great idea Millie! 🙂
Have a great day! 🙂
Thank you, Heena. I’ll do that this week. 🙂
Great 🙂
