The famous Laburnum Arch is in the beautiful Bodnant Gardens in North Wales, UK. We visit here often, as it's only 5 miles from my aunt and uncle's home near Conwy. The Laburnum Arch flowers in June and this photo of my husband and I was taken in 2015. Calke Abbey is a Grade 1 listed country house in Derbyshire, UK. It was built between 1701 and 1704 on the site of a 12th century priory that came to an end during the Dissolution of the Monasteries (1536-40). The house was given into the care of the National Trust in 1985 in lieu of death duties. The house and its beautiful grounds - including woodlands, a deer park, and formal and walled gardens - offer a great day out for families, nature lovers and history lovers alike.
