I’ve been nominated again for the Three Quotes Challenge, this time by the lovely Galit Balli, an excellent blogger whose posts are really interesting and varied. Not only does Galit write great book reviews for ‘The Reading Bud’, she also shares her experiences of writing her own book as well as doing lots of other fun and interesting posts.

The last time I did this challenge I decided to do quotes about writing, so this time I thought I’d do three quotes about the weather. Living in Britain, the weather becomes almost an obsession, and is definitely our main topic of conversation.
Yesterday I posted a quote about the rain – which I do love (as long as it isn’t coming down in bucketfuls!). Today, I’ve chosen a weather-type that gets most people smiling.

Sunshine always makes me feel better, it is so light and cheerful. Maybe that is why yellow is my favorite color. Nice quote!
Yellow is such a happy colour, isn’t it? I know that some areas of the world right now are wishing the sun would hide itself for a while (Texas?). Here in the UK we’re wishing it wouldn’t be so shy! Thanks, Jessie. 🙂

Thank you, Diana! I love a nice gentle rain, but really heavy rain is unpleasant to be out in, especially when it’s combined with wind. I know what type of weather you’re having at the moment, and it can’t be much fun to be out in. Keep looking forward to sunny days again, and enjoy your writing – and your teaching. Young children have a way of cheering older people up. ❤
Oh, the yellow sunshine… I love it but not too much of it as it gives me a migraine. I love and enjoy rains and winters. I’m perfectly happy with the shivers than the sweat. What is your happy season?
I love spring and autumn. Both are quite magical to me. In summer, I don’t like it to be overly hot, although in Britain it rarely is. Our summer heat often tends to be muggy (humid) which I don’t like at all. But I do love the sunshine – it’s so cheerful. Having said all that, I find crisp cold winters wonderful, too. I soppose I just love to see the seasons change.
Spring and autumn would bring lovely colours at your place. Here urbanization has changed much of the landscapes and weather also seems to be affected. As a child I could feel there were at least four seasons – summers, winters, spring and monsoons- now I can only feel summers and winters. Global warming is sad and scary but we seem to ignore it totally. 😦
Steps towards tackling global warming are moving very slowly for lots of reasons, which I’m sure you know. It’s a global issue and needs cooperation and action on a global scale – a very difficult thing to achieve when every government has its own agenda. Well, I won’t go into that right now.
I’m just sorting out my last quote and will post it later on. I was really late with yesterday’s because our Internet was misbehaving … again! Thank you for telling me about India’s weather, Norma. Interesting – and very worrying.

Awesome! There’s something different about the day… I’m a night writer simply because between home and work there isn’t any other time… I’ve always considered trying to get up super early to write to see what it would do. When it’s not scorching hot outside (maybe by October) I will attempt it so I can write outside somewhere.
